We are surrounded on Dartmoor by magnificent scenery full of the wonderful heritage of the South West of England, going back at least 4½ thousand years. Coupled with this we have fascinating natural history and landscape which cries out for interpretation. Not only will you ride out on a very special horse but you will have your own unique guided tour of the surroundings.
As we are a small business, with relatively small ride groups we can afford to be quite flexible with what we can offer. Rides are from novice - (competent at rising trot and able to control the horse at walk and trot in open spaces and have experienced cantering) to experienced riders and having spoken with you we will only book you on the type of ride which is within your capabilities and fulfils your expectations.
THE MINIMUM AGE FOR RIDERS IS 12 YEARS, THEY MUST BE PONY CLUB TRAINED OR THE EQUIVALENT. THE HORSES ARE BIG AND STRONG AND WE WANT TO KEEP YOUNGSTERS SAFE.
WE DON'T TAKE BEGINNERS.
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE A WEIGHT LIMIT OF 16 STONE FOR THE 2 HOUR RIDE AND 14.5 STONE FOR THE 3 HOUR AND FULL DAY RIDES, THIS IS FOR THE WELFARE OF OUR HARD WORKING HORSES AND WILL BE STRICTLY ADHERED TO. THESE WEIGHTS ARE FULLY KITTED OUT FOR RIDING, NOT ON THE BATHROOM SCALES.
WE DO HAVE SCALES AT THE FARM AND WILL ASK PEOPLE TO WEIGH IF WE ARE IN DOUBT.
There are three basic ride lengths:

- Half day (3 hrs) - £100.00
