At Adventure Clydesdale we specialise in long trail rides, something that the Big Friendly Giants excel at. We have within our reach Dartmoor, Exmoor, Bodmin Moor and many other beautiful parts of the south west of England to ride in. We are keen to allow our riders to participate in all aspects of the ride including the pre and post ride preparation and care of the horses. To join one of the small, exclusive rides will cost £265 per day including meals and accommodation.
We will be staying in a variety of special locations as we pass through the beautiful and fascinating countryside full of historical and landscape features and interesting riding challenges.
Our route will bring us to a variety of accommodation, usually B&B with an evening meal at a local homely pub or restaurant and sometimes at the accommodation. There will always be a warm shower, a good meal and a comfy bed to finish your days riding as well as the chance for a bit of 'après ride' with your fellow riders, swapping stories of your day's adventure on the BFGs. Often the horses will be staying very nearby our stop-over accommodation.
Clients will meet us at the start point where a BFG will be waiting to take you on your adventure. Your luggage will be transferred by our backup team to our next stop-over. We will return to our base with the horses or you will be returned by vehicle at the end of the ride to collect your transport.
Remember that our holidays are flexible so if there are special arrangements and times needed we will endeavour to make this possible. The maximum number of horses on your ride will be six.
The adventure rides are for experienced riders and there is a weight limit of 14.5 stone.
To book your ride please call Tim or Aileen on 01364 631683 (evenings) +44 7901 943038 or +44 7809 729739.
